Hello and Welcome!
My approach to healing is integrative based on the needs of the individual. There is no one size fits all technique that works for everyone. I listen to feelings, thoughts, beliefs to dislodge what may be keeping one from growth and freedom. My belief is that healing happens in relationship, where there is safety and trust.
I help individuals and coupled to look for patterns and themes that are repeated. I pay close attention to your internal world so that one can find their way back to their authentic self, create new opportunities, and make positive shifts. Sometimes this work is reached by understanding your own story of harm and how those stories have shaped your life. Other times it may be reached by considering your values, finding solutions, addressing attachment issues, or learning new skills.
I work with relational trauma, as well other forms of trauma, mood disorders, grief, loss, relationships, and transitions. I have certifications in various forms of trauma, anxiety, grief work, and domestic violence trainings. Prior experience in community mental health and in the foster care system
I have been actively involved in learning the Allender Theory of Narrative change by understanding our stories of harm. Completion of Narrative Focused Trauma Theory 1, 2 and 3.
I enjoy working with teens, adults and couples. I am truly blessed and honored to be in this field while walking along side of individuals as they work to create change.
I believe healing is possible.
